課程概述 |
This Freshman composition course prepares students to develop basic writing skills. In particular, it aims to develop students’ ability in paragraph writing. The course also encourages students to develop writing habits through journal writing. Self-learning logs are also an important component to help students become independent learner and writer. To extend course topics outside the class, basic internet research assignments are also assigned. |

By the end of the semester, students will be able to (1) understand and write parts of an academic essay; (2) write and share with others on a restricted range of topics and short tasks; and (3) document self-learning log for independent writing practices. |
